More Details
New general rules supplement the base rules of Spearpoint 1943 to provide simple movement guidelines, line of sight restrictions, rules for raiding buildings, spotting for off-board artillery fire missions, aircraft flight paths, cover, and more. All of the new Situations and Standard Games use either the Village or Defensive Line side of the included mounted map. Each time a game is set up, terrain tiles make it unique since their placement and orientation varies. Even the same situation is exciting, challenging, and fresh each time it is played. All of the tiles are double-sided - so when a building is destroyed, for example, the tile is flipped to the Ruins side for that building. With double-sided tiles, in total, there are 36 pieces of terrain to use on the map. 56 General counters included are useful for tracking starting zones for reinforcements, smoke, turns of flight for aircraft, temporary damage, initiative, spotting for fire missions, and more. These counters also work well in traditional Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943 games.
The map itself represents the “frontlines” of the basic card game, while artillery remains off board for each player. The map grid provides structure for movement and position and the advantages of cover and concealment for units with the added modular terrain, some of which may be destroyed in-game.
Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943 Village and Defensive Line Map Expansion is only available as a high quality production version.
If you enjoy the base game of Spearpoint 1943, we’re confident you’ll really enjoy the added value and depth of the expansion.
